c.lib 1.173 (25.8.2004)

- The <assert.h> header file was missing the C++ 'extern "C" { .. }'
  declarations.

- Added a new function __get_default_file() which allows direct access
  to the low level file handle/socket descriptor associated with a
  file descriptor.
